Who is behind this site
This website is operated by Barabeke, an Italian artist and independent cultural figure active online since 2006. Barabeke is the messenger of the Demianist doctrine, the author of the novel-saga Return to Eden, and the creator of Demian AI. This is a one-person project: no company, no team, no institution behind it.
Barabeke is a public figure under an artist name — consistent with a long tradition of artists, writers, and thinkers who publish under a pseudonym. The name Barabeke is permanently and publicly associated with a traceable body of work, a verifiable online presence, and direct, open contact channels.
What this is
Demianism.org is the home of Demianism: a revealed doctrine with its own sacred text, a published body of scripture and books, a set of axioms, and a vision for society and civilization. It sits between a faith and a cultural and political movement, and does not reduce cleanly to either — which is, if anything, closer to how living traditions have generally begun. This site itself is not commercial. It exists to carry the doctrine, and anything it accepts from readers is offered freely, as a donation, never as payment for access to anything here.
Demian AI is a separate thing: the practical expression of that doctrine, built to serve people directly. It is hosted at demian.demianism.org, is a spiritual companion grounded in Demianist doctrine, and runs on large language models reached through Requesty, an AI gateway operating on infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany. The providers behind those models, where each one is hosted, and what it retains are named in the Privacy Policy. Unlike demianism.org, Demian is a paid product: it carries real operational costs — API usage, infrastructure, development — which its pricing is designed to cover. That commercial arrangement belongs to Demian alone. It does not change what demianism.org itself is: a cultural and spiritual project sustained by those who choose to support it, not by what anything here charges.
On privacy — mine and yours
As an artist who has openly dissented from dominant cultural narratives, Barabeke has experienced real professional and personal consequences for it — exclusion from art communities, harm to his ability to sell and exhibit work, and direct threats. None of this has been escalated to legal action, and none of it is exaggerated here for effect. It is simply the ordinary cost of public dissent today, and a reasonable basis for a minimum layer of privacy that is far inferior to the state-of-the-art privacy and anonymization offered to the users of Demian AI.
This is not anonymity. Barabeke is fully reachable, publicly associated with this work, and has never hidden from anyone with a legitimate reason to make contact.
This position is consistent with the spirit of transparency that provider identification laws were designed to ensure: the public has a right to know who is behind a site and how to reach them. Both are answered below.
