Who’s brave enough to jump aboard this ghost ship rising from the mists? It will truly take a leap of faith from someone special.

Whether Demianism ever becomes a living culture will depend on you. The goal today is to get started — to form the first nucleus of the Demianist community. I think getting to the first ten will be harder than getting from ten to one thousand. I am not at all certain I can manage it, especially with zero resources.

Will there ever be a second Demianist? That will be for Providence to decide. The wheels of destiny cannot be controlled — the most we can do is oil them. I believe I have done all I could do without support and visibility. If anyone feels even a vague sense of this calling, I invite them to go deeper — by reading the book or chatting with Demian. The next step is to connect with me directly, human to human. I will be glad to provide whatever clarity you seek.

Frankly, I wouldn’t know what to ask of you. I expect you to inspire and motivate me. Mine has been a long solitary crossing through the desert. If you feel that Demianism is for you, make it yours. You have all you need: the 13 axioms plus the orientation and inspiration I have provided. Use your talents to serve this mission and to shape its future. The impact of the first Demianists can be huge.

In the beginning I must necessarily serve as leader and guardian of Demianism, but my goal is to ferry it toward the next phase — one in which it can stand on its own, taking on a democratic form inspired and bounded by the 13 axioms, and proof against their corruption. It will take time. Perhaps the rest of my life won’t be enough. But with a vital community and sufficient funding, I believe it is technically possible to get there in ten years — that’s the most optimistic scenario.

If I remained the only Demianist in the world, I would be sorry, but I would not feel I have failed. I have done my duty. I have planted the seed. It might not be for me to make it grow — perhaps that falls to another generation. The Demianist mission is, after all, millennial in its vocation. But I would be surprised if I were not its ferryman, given that life — by roundabout ways — has formed me for this role. Plus, being the source, I don’t see how Demianism could do without me in its founding phase. Therefore, if you want to give Demianism a chance, please support my work.
